Union health ministry, during the routine government briefing on coronavirus, said that selective relaxations will be given to non-containment zones in India after April 20 midnight.

The health ministry, however, said that no relaxations will be given to the containment zones and added that the government may impose even stricter lockdown measures after April 20 in such areas.

Giving the latest coronavirus data, the health ministry said India has reported 1,334 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours and 27 new deaths. With this, the coronavirus count in the country has reached 15,712 while the death toll has mounted to 507.

The health ministry also informed that as many as 2,231 people have been cured as of now.

In some good news, Health Ministry Joint Secretary Lav Agarwal said that 54 more districts in 23 states and Union Territories have not reported any new case of Covid-19 in the last 14 days.
