Ram Pothineni asks fans not to celebrate his birthday: Safety is important

Actor Ram Pothineni has requested his fans not to celebrate his 32nd birthday in view of the novel coronavirus pandemic. He also urged his fans to stay indoors and safe.

Actor Ram Pothineni is one of the most happening stars in Tollywood and enjoys a huge fan-base especially after the success of his latest film, Ismart Shankar.

The actor will be turning a year older on May 15 and fans have been planning his birthday celebrations for almost a week now. However, much to their surprise, the actor has revealed that he is in no mood to celebrate his 32nd birthday in view of the novel coronavirus outbreak.

In a long note on Twitter, the actor urged his fans to not indulge in any kind of celebration and told them that their safety is of utmost importance to him.

He also wanted them to come out of this crisis stronger than before and that would be his birthday gift. He wrote, “I know how much you love me and I feel blessed to see you all celebrate my birthday every year. However, I would like you all to know that I love you all too and I would want you all to hold back the celebrations this year. The safety of you and your loved ones is of utmost importance to me and I would like to see you all come out of this stronger than before. I shall consider this as my birthday gift from you all (sic).”

Ram Pothineni’s upcoming film, Red, was supposed to hit the screens on April 9. However, the film got postponed due to lockdown imposed to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Directed by Kishore Tirumala, Ram Pothineni will be seen playing dual role in the film. Touted to be an action-thriller, the film is an official remake of hit Tamil film Thadam.

Fans of the actor have been requesting the makers to reveal the new release date. Recently, there were also speculations that the film will have a digital release. However, the team denied it as rumours.
