Coronovirus crisis: Nani donates blood during lockdown, urges people to come forward

Telugu actor Nani has been actively spreading awareness on the novel coronavirus pandemic. Recently, the actor and his wife, Anjana, were spotted donating blood, which will help children who are suffering from Thalassemia. He also urged people to come forward and donate blood without any hesitation.

The actor and his wife headed to NTR Trust to donate blood to people who are in need. The official Twitter handle of NTR Trust thanked those who have been a part of the blood donation drive. “Let’s Salute Mr. Nani garu -South Indian film actor, Mrs. Anjana garu and other Blood donors, who have donated blood during this lockdown and helped us in saving many lives. (sic),” they wrote.

The trust also posted a video in which Nani can be seen donating blood. In the one-minute-long video, Nani revealed that there is an acute shortage of blood because of the coronavirus lockdown.

He said, “Many people are misinformed that donating blood might be risky during the time of Covid-19 crisis. There are many rumours doing the rounds on WhatsApp. But, there is no truth to these rumours. So, I’d request you all to donate blood that will help people who are suffering from Thalassemia and any other medical emergency.”

Recently, Nani took to social media to share an adorable video of his son, Arjun. In the video, the father-son duo is stressing on the importance of staying indoors during the lockdown.

The coronavirus positive cases have risen to 12,759 with 420 people succumbing to the deadly virus.
