Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday reviewed the government’s Covid-19 control room and the situation in various states amid the lockdown.
Shah reviewed operations of the MHA Control Room, which is monitoring and getting feedback from all states and various other ministries during the period.
Therefore, the control room is playing a pivotal role in connecting the state with Centre in India’s fight against Covid-19.
Shah reviewed several aspects of the control room and was also briefed about the status of essential deliveries amid lockdown.
According to media reports, Shah was also briefed about the migrant crisis situation in the country due to the lockdown till May 3.
Though migrant labourers have got aid from the government including shelter, there are many who feel they will be safer back home. All of them are now eagerly waiting for the situation to ease from April 20.
Meanwhile, the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in India crossed 15,000 as of Sunday. Over 500 people have died after testing positive for Covid-19.
