Cancer survivor and actor Sonali Bendre posted an emotional note on Instagram to mourn Rishi Kapoor’s demise. The veteran actor passed away on April 30 after a two-year battle with leukemia.
Sonali Bendre shared a picture with Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor that was clicked in New York. She remembered how they both battled the “unseen monster” together and kept each other “buoyant through the sadness and pain”. Both Rishi Kapoor and Sonali Bendre underwent treatment in New York.
“Heartbroken and at a loss for words… #RIP Chintu uncle. So many thoughts and emotions running through me right now. Remembering our time in New York as we battled together, fighting an unseen monster. Keeping each other buoyant through the sadness and pain. We held each other up through it all, forever connected,” she wrote.
“My thoughts, prayers and love go out to Neetu aunty, Riddhima, Ranbir, the family and your legions of fans. You will always be remembered for your talent, your passion and your zest for life,” Sonali concluded.
Rishi Kapoor died on Thursday at 8.45 am. Randhir Kapoor confirmed that Rishi will be cremated in Chandanwadi Crematorium, Marine Lines.
Rishi Kapoor is survived by wife Neetu Kapoor, son Ranbir Kapoor and daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni.
